How a custom song is made
You tell us who the song is for and what you want it to say. A person writes the words from what you give us, and the music is produced using AI tools and then finished by us. We say this plainly because you are paying for it and you should know what you are buying — it is how an original song for one person is possible at this price and in this time.
We send you the lyrics before anything is recorded. Nothing is produced until you approve them.
What we won't write
We will turn down an order, and refund it, if it asks us to:
- imitate a real artist's voice, or pass the song off as their work
- reuse lyrics or music somebody else owns
- attack, demean or mock a real person, or make claims about them that aren't true
- carry hateful, sexual or defamatory content
- use a brand, name or logo the person ordering doesn't own or represent
If we turn an order down for one of these reasons we will tell you which one, and you get your money back in full.
The names and details you give us
By ordering you confirm you have the right to give us the names, photographs and personal details in your brief, and to have a song made from them. A song about a named person is written on your word that the person would be glad to receive it.
What you may do with the song
A personal licence — on the personal and faith categories — covers private use and sharing that isn't monetised: playing it at the party, sending it to family, posting it to your own social accounts. It does not cover advertising, radio, or video you earn money from.
A commercial licence — included on the business categories, and available as an upgrade on the others — covers advertising, radio play, events, and monetised video.
We keep the right to be named as the producer. We will not publish your song in the public catalogue unless you tell us we may.
Changes and refunds
Each package includes a number of rounds of lyric changes — one on Basic, two on Standard, three on Premium. Changes to the lyrics are free within that; past it, or once the song has been produced, further work is quoted separately.
Before the lyrics are approved, you can cancel for a full refund. After production has started we will always try to put a problem right with a revision first; if we can't make it right, we refund you.
Paying
We talk to you before taking any money. Once the brief is agreed we confirm the price and arrange payment with you directly. Work starts when payment is confirmed, and your order page shows a receipt.
